Having used the original Vaporesso Revenger for a few years I decided it was time for a bit of a refresh. So I decided to go with the Vaporesso Luxe. Before we get into the review of this kit I just want to explain why I liked the Vaporesso Revenger Mod so much and also it deserves a few words for all its hard work over the past couple of years.
The Revenger was a really nice mod. It was a nice weight and was comfortable to hold. It took 2 x 18650 batteries and basically it just worked with any tank I threw at it and all the tanks looked good on it. It was my daily mod for a long time and turned out to be very reliable.
So with my few words about the Revenger out the way and the mod safely stored away in our museum of mods (the cupboard) its on with the review of the mod I have decided to replace it with… The Vaporesso Luxe.

The Vaporesso Luxe Mod
Look & Feel
The Luxe mod appears to have taken a-lot of its design from the Revenger with its curved edges and very similar height. The size of the mod is 89.9mm high by 47.8mm wide and 29.5mm deep which is a nice size. The front of the mod is mostly taken up by a really nice 2inch TFT colour screen with 3 touch buttons just below. Below the buttons you have the usb port which Vaporesso says is for both firmware updates and charging. On the side you have the fire button which also turns the mod off and on. The Vaporesso Luxe comes in a number of different colours. The colour of the one I bought is the silver one. Overall the mod looks really nice and is comfortable to hold and use.
Vaporesso Luxe Features
The Luxe is packed with features including touch buttons with responsive vibration, Insta-Fire technology which fires the device within 0.001s after pressing the button, this is really noticeable if your upgrading from an older mod. The mod is using the OMNI Board 4.0 which is the latest board from Vaporesso. The power range is decent with a minimum of 5W going right through to 220W. Like the power range, the resistance range is also decent with a minimum of 0.03 ohms and a maximum of 5 ohms. Basically you can use this mod with any tank. I have been using it both with the Vaporesso SKRR tank and the EHPro Vaping With Vic Kelpie tank.
In my time of using this mod I haven’t had any problems with the mod. The mod takes 2 x 18650 batteries which i prefer over a built in battery. As mentioned above it fires very quickly and is a nice and powerful mod.
Ease Of Use
With the 2 inch colour TFT screen it makes the menu so much easier to use. The menu is easy to navigate using the touch buttons just below the screen. The main screen shows all the usual information including resistance, power setting, and battery levels. I’m a man so naturally I don’t read instructions for at least a year after I buy a product, I was able to use the mod straight out of the box with no issues at all. Put it this way its easier to use than our bloody microwave!
The SKRR Tank
The SKRR tank is a bottom airflow tank with a slight dome shape within the chimney. But this isn’t where this tank is clever. The clever bit is actually within the design of the coil. Normally the airflow through a coil is straight up through the centre of the coil so the air flows past the coil. The coils for the SKRR tank push the air against the walls of the coil which massively improves the performance of this tank. One thing which i haven’t seen on any other tank I have used is that the centre pin on the SKRR tank is silver and not gold. I’m not sure why this is the case but I’m sure there will be a reason for this. The box states that the tank has a “child proof locking mechanism” however on the tank I got there was no such mechanism that I could see on the tank.
The SKRR Tank Performance
This is one hell of a thirsty tank which is made even more obvious thanks to the 2ml tank restriction here in the UK. I filled the tank and let the coil soak up before I used the kit and the coil swallowed half the tank before I had even used the mod and tank. Using the standard 2ml glass I am getting around 50 puffs before I need to refill so I would recommend buying a bubble glass to increase the tank capacity.
The flavour and cloud that this tank produces is incredible. I am using City Vape Baked Well Cherry which I have used in a number of other tanks and it really does taste amazing in this tank.
The Vaporesso Luxe Kit is a fantastic kit that performs really well and is packed with features. The screen is easy to see and the menus are easy to navigate. If your looking for a kit that is packed with the latest tech giving fantastic performance then I would recommend this kit.
The kit is priced between £60 and £75. Check with your local vape shop and see what they sell it for.
