I have been using the IJOY Katana tank for around 2 weeks now and I have to be honest its a great tank so here’s all the information and my opinion on this subohm tank.
The Katana tank is a mesh coil subohm tank and uses a balanced triangular adjustable bottom airflow system (bit of a mouthful) which unlike some other bottom airflow tanks is still easy to adjust when the tank is on a mod. One negative about the airflow system is that when you have the airflow half closed the tank is quite noisy when you are using it… not a deal breaker but I just wanted to point it out.
You have a number of coils that you can use with this tank:
- KM1 coil: 0.15ohm, 40-80W
- DM-M2 coil: 0.15ohm, 40-80W
- DM-M3 coil: 0.13ohm, 50-90W
For this review I have been using the KM1 coil. I have found that to get the best flavour from the KM1 coil I have to run the coil at the higher end of its power rating.
The tank features a slide and fill top cap which helps to prevent leaking. This is a great feature of this tank and works really well. The capacity of the tank in the UK is 2ml inline with the fun police restrictions but you can get a bubble glass which fixes this problem.
When you buy the IJOY Katana tank you get the following in the box:
- 1x Katana Subohm Tank
- 1x KM1 mesh coil 0.15ohm (40-80W Pre-installed)
- 1x DM-M3 mesh coil 0.13ohm (50-90W)
- 1x Replacement glass
- 1x Tool pack
So would I recommend this tank…
Yes its a great tank, i’ve actually got two of them. Ok so its a bit noisy when you have the airflow in certain positions but that’s not a big deal when you experience the flavour and clouds that you get from this tank. Replacement coils are pretty cheap as well.
